DocumentationNuxt Charts v3

MCP

Connect your paid Nuxt Charts account to a coding assistant.

Nuxt Charts MCP

Connect a remote Streamable HTTP MCP client to:

https://nuxtcharts.com/mcp

Your client discovers the OAuth endpoints automatically. Complete the GitHub sign-in and approve the connection. Use the verified email associated with your purchase. Client registration is public; authorization and MCP access require a paid Nuxt Charts license.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "nuxt-charts": {
      "url": "https://nuxtcharts.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

For Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http nuxt-charts https://nuxtcharts.com/mcp

Use your client's OAuth connection flow. CLI nct_ tokens are for CLI downloads; MCP uses its own OAuth ncm_ tokens.

Access

  • Any settled, unrefunded Nuxt Charts purchase enables MCP documentation, examples, public chart types, and catalog discovery.
  • All Access (including legacy passes) and Teams enable source components and all blocks.
  • A template requires its individual purchase or All Access/Teams.
  • Free, unverified, banned, refunded, and disputed accounts cannot access MCP. If payment verification is unavailable, access returns a temporary-unavailable error.

Licenses are verified on each request. Previously issued tokens do not preserve access after a refund. OAuth access tokens expire after one hour. Clients can renew using rotating refresh tokens, valid for up to 30 days. Revoke a connection at /oauth/mcp/connections.

Tools

  • get_account_access: inspect the connected account's current access.
  • list_catalog: discover all chart types, components, blocks, cards, and templates; filter by kind or query.
  • get_catalog_item: retrieve source files and local dependencies for a licensed component or block, or installation instructions for a chart/template.
  • list_template_files and get_template_file: inspect licensed template source.
  • search_chart_reference, get_chart_reference, get_chart_types, and create_chart_example: use the chart API.
  • list_premium_chart_blocks and get_premium_chart_block: compatible chart-block tools.

The CLI uses the same catalog:

nuxt-charts list
nuxt-charts init --ui
nuxt-charts add BlocksAreaChartsBasic

OAuth compatibility

Registration accepts HTTPS, HTTP loopback, and native-app callback URIs. It rejects credentials, fragments, remote plain HTTP, and executable schemes. Missing scopes default to charts:read. Token requests accept form-encoded authorization-code and refresh-token grants, with PKCE S256, exact redirect matching, one-time grant consumption, and a fixed MCP resource audience.
